Center: Multi-disciplinary and different applications.
Smart: Adding smart intelligence to the formed nano-devices (cyber physical systems).
Nanotechnology: Applications and devices based on synthesized nanostructures.
Photonics: Synthesis and Characterizations of different optical nanostructures.

Motivation/Aims

To be a leader research lab in Egypt in the fields of nanomaterials, nanotechnologies, and nanophotonics.
To integrate multi-disciplinary fields with nanotechnology such as WSN, antennas and cyber security.
Offer high quality research, to make the center competitive with similar centers worldwide.
To help in solving some critical problems facing our Egyptian nation such as renewable energy, water pollution monitoring, medicines.
Resource for funding from research/industry funding agents.
Collaboration with other research labs worldwide.
An optimum place for graduate students to gain experimental/ research skills for higher quality of master theses. Also, that would be helpful in applying for PhD scholarships.
Team work environment in Egypt

is to provide Low-cost facilities, simple nanostructures fabrication and characterization, and simple prototype designs.
